Leland Acker is a pastor, hospice chaplain, city councilman, business major, missionary, theologian, and serial anthropologist. He also enjoys music.
Leland serves as the pastor of Life Point Baptist Church in Early, Texas, a church he started in 2008 to reach those who fall through the cracks of the ministerial efforts of local churches.
He is the hospice chaplain for Interim Healthcare of Texas and New Mexico, working out of the Brownwood, Texas, office.
Leland has served on the Early City Council since 2018, and has fought to lower taxes while enabling the improvement of the quality of life in Early, Texas.
Leland studies his Bible, researching the cultural and literal context of scripture, and seeking the messages that God has in His word for the culture today.
He also studies business at Stephen F. Austin State University, because if God is going to keep him as a bi-vocational pastor, he might as well be good at it.
